We do this by putting people first – with our clients, with our partners, and at Sensei. We encourage our people to be curious and to continuously learn and grow – thriving on challenges, solving problems both simple and complex, to create the best possible solutions to meet our clients’ needs and to advance our industry. Our subject matter expertise, technical know-how and leadership within the Microsoft productivity landscape, has seen Sensei build the largest team of experts across the APAC region, so you can access a depth of experience to achieve the outcomes you desire.

We have fun, share our stories, celebrate our successes and most importantly, have each other’s backs – and we have yours, too. As an employee, you become part of the extended Sensei family. We are really proud of our people, our clients, and what we are building at Sensei.

Role Overview:

This newly created role is a great next step in your UX Design journey and ideal if you thrive on seeing the fruit of your work transform the user experience. We’re looking for an experienced UX Designer to establish and implement a human-centric design process for our software development practice. As part of the Agile based Sensei development team, you’ll be the human lens and UX design lead for our flagship software platform, Sensei IQ, a comprehensive project, program, and portfolio management application built on Microsoft’s PowerApps platform.

Bring your passion for smooth and intuitive customer journeys to bear to make our products shine. Conduct user interviews, build personas, create wireframes, and guide our software engineers and leadership in what good UX design means. You’ll have the opportunity to put your stamp on the UX design process and make it your own. We believe that excellent user experiences drive the best applications, and you’ll stand central to this journey.

What your day may include:

  • Create and implement a human-centric design process for our software development practice.
  • Conducting and leading research including heuristic analysis, market analysis, user and stakeholder interviews, and building user personas.
  • Creating elegant user journeys, wireframes for UI elements, and collaborating with key business stakeholders and the development team.
  • Iteratively transforming the User Experience of Sensei IQ through consistent user feedback and design, creating a consistent and intuitive experience for our users.
  • Reviewing user feedback and drawing out the most valuable improvements for implementation.

Sound interesting? Here’s the key skills set you’ll need to qualify:

  • 3 years’ experience as a UX Designer working in software development.
  • High proficiency in wireframe design and prototyping tools.
  • Expertise in UX design processes and methodologies.
  • Experience turning UX designs into actionable tasks for the development team.
  • Excellent interview skills and the ability to focus conversations to what’s truly valuable.
  • Experience in leveraging heuristics and telemetry to inform designs.
  • An eye for detail and a curiosity to make things better.
  • Ability to guide stakeholders through vision, shaping, and delivery.
  • Confidence in facilitating presentations and running workshops.
  • You value design based on iteration, and real customer feedback.
  • An understanding of Microsoft’s PowerApps platform, specifically with regards to the strengths and limitations of User Interface is highly desirable.

Other Valuable Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • An understanding of project management principles to be able to understand the language our clients use would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Having solid quiz skills will be viewed as favourable. Our quiz team wants more member.

Interested in applying? Here’s what we value:

  • You have endless amounts of enthusiasm and energy. Perhaps not endless, but a healthy amount at least.
  • You genuinely want to make a difference to the way our clients work, and you have a positive outlook on life.
  • You’re not afraid of hard work. Curly challenges. Sometimes inconvenient hours.
  • Perhaps you attend (or run) local user groups. In any case, you’re curious about how things work. You don’t pretend to know everything – and as a result, you are constantly learning.
  • People trust you. When you are handed a problem, they feel confident that you will resolve it.
  • You’re comfortable with change.
  • During your interview, you’ll be able to tell us the capital city of Bolivia 🙂
