Role Overview:

You’ll be joining Sensei in a tight-knit local team, and in this position, you’ll dive in, head first, and own a lot of the complex technical stuff we need to do on client engagements alongside the delivery team at Sensei. As the Microsoft Power Platform Consultant, you’ll bring a strong history of delivering high quality solutions to clients, appropriate certifications and other training, problem solving techniques and organisational and time management skills. Your personal effectiveness and productivity will deliver maximum engagement with clients and you will continue to seek opportunities to learn and develop your professional skills and capabilities.

The ideal candidate has a proven technical understanding of Microsoft development and platforms, particularly around the Power Platform, along with SharePoint, Project Server/Online, Office 365 and Dynamics 365. We are looking for a well-rounded professional who can balance a focus on client satisfaction and excellent communication skills with a thirst for knowing the technical ins and outs of the products we provide to our clients.

What your day may include:

  • Execute on a range of client delivery requirements as specified by the Queensland Delivery Manager and Project Leads.
  • Help organisations improve the way they work by capitalising on your knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate) and your ability to develop custom solutions using a variety of programming languages including PowerShell, SQL, SSRS, .Net and others.
  • Demonstrate a passion for developing Microsoft solutions, particularly those based on the Office 365, Project Online, Project for the Web, or Dynamics 365 platforms.
  • Work with a variety of different clients concurrently across a range of projects to meet priorities.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to clients and provide escalation support to our Customer Care team in your area of expertise, with the ability to work through issues with non-technical people.
  • Provide advice on technical aspects of solution development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.), assist with software configuration components, development activities, migration approaches, testing, and bug / defect resolution related to solution implementation.

  • Established experience utilising the Microsoft Power Platform suite of products including demonstrated capability to build a Power App, wrangle a Power Automate Flow, or customise a Power BI report.
  • Understanding and willingness to learn out of the box SharePoint and Project Server/Online related technologies. For example:
    • Have a drive to learn all there is to know about the out of the box solutions we utilise and use this knowledge when translating client requirements into business solutions.
    • Develop simple project demand workflows in SharePoint designer 2013.
    • SSRS reports and SQL queries.
  • Experience delivering solutions in cloud-based environments. Familiarity with Azure administration and development.
  • Sufficient level of technical knowledge of Microsoft applications such as SharePoint, Project Online/Server, Office 365 and familiarity with project management tools. Knowing that the ideal consultant will possess a level of technical product knowledge to truly provide our clients with a series of well thought out solution designs.
  • Excellent analytical skills in order to produce high quality business requirements, documents and functional specifications.
  • A sound understanding of how to create solutions tailored to client business and technical drivers with good business acumen and knowledge of business processes including project management and financial management principles
  • Professionally presented with proven interpersonal skills, strong time management and the ability to manage multiple projects and competing client demands.
