The company was honoured among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.
For the fourth year in a row, Sensei has been honoured among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation, naming Sensei as a 2020 Project and Portfolio Management Partner of the Year Finalist. This marks the sixth time in seven years that Sensei has been recognised by Microsoft for this award.
The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards celebrates Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions during the past year, with winners chosen from more than 3,300 entrants globally.
CEO of Sensei, Andy Neumann said:
“We are delighted to have Microsoft name Sensei as a worldwide leader again. We provide real solutions to real business problems and it’s an honour to be recognised again as a world leader in this space for the work we do with customers. At Sensei we engage with organisations to help them make sense of their work and improve ways of working through technology. We empower people to achieve more through proven ways of managing tasks, projects, programs and portfolios of work.”
Sensei’s work with Linfox, Turner Construction and The University of Melbourne was recognised as a demonstration of excellence in innovation and implementation of Microsoft technology-based customer solutions.
Sensei helped develop Linfox streamline complicated portfolio-level reporting, delivering unprecedented transparency, automation, streamlined project management and the ability to anticipate and solve problems before they adversely impact delivery.
Fiona Porter, Head of Project Management Office at Linfox described the implementation process successful:
“It took less than three months….to get all our project managers on the same page. We’ve evolved tremendously over the past two years and that’s enabled by this system… the results are nothing short of amazing.”
Sensei further helped Turner Construction harness the traction they already had with the Microsoft tools in which they were already invested and gathered the additional data they needed to ease staff burden, daylight resourcing needs, and effectively manage the flow of their IT projects.
Heather Clark, IS Project Manager at Turner Construction, noted that Sensei’s PPM solution for Microsoft Project Online generated a 50% reduction in time spent putting together solid project plans and thanks to Sensei’s automated reporting and Power BI dashboards, a 90% reduction in the time spent created data-driven project status reports. As Clark notes, those reports “enable [their] business leaders to better influence [their] people and the business itself, fundamentally improving [their] delivery and working habits.” In fact, Clark was so pleased with Turner’s experience with Sensei, she told the world about the value of Project Online in an official Microsoft webcast!
At The University of Melbourne, Sensei worked to help the organisation take control of enterprise projects when they consolidated their systems in support of a shared services business model. By using Sensei’s Project, Portfolio and Work Management solution The University can today enjoy substantially improved project visibility and reporting across the organisation.
Sheridan Nanscawen, EPMO analyst at The University of Melbourne, found Sensei offered the perfect solution for corporate reporting for million-dollar projects and capital works which required one source of information:
“Not only does the EPMO now enjoy a consistent source of truth on all projects at any time, but that data is quite literally at the fingertips of those who need it… overtime this enabled us to develop Executive support and trust in the reporting, giving means to be able to address problems as they arise rather than retrospectively.”
