Role Overview:

Sensei is a well-regarded, Gold-certified Microsoft partner on a steady path of growth over the past 3 years. We have a proud history of delivering outstanding project and portfolio management outcomes and productivity solutions for high-profile clients across Australia and around the world. We have a strong presence on the East Coast of Australia and now, as we continue our growth, we are looking at establishing our on-the-ground presence in Western Australia.  

Reporting to the National Sales Director, with direct access to the CEO and the Leadership Team, this appointment will be the foundation member of Sensei WA and is considered business critical, with the purpose of the role being to deliver an outstanding client experience throughout the Sensei sales process. The Client Executive will;

  • Take ownership of our existing client base in WA, and drive the ongoing success of those clients, 
  • Develop new client opportunities in WA (with the support of our national Presales and Marketing teams), and, 
  • Build on the relationships we have with key partners including Microsoft.  

This will be accomplished by the achieving of sales targets, through the execution of sales plans, business development, account management and other sales strategies whilst maintaining superior client satisfaction. The Client Executive understands that sales drives all aspects of our business and, as such, is a key part of the commercial and operational health, growth and success of Sensei. You’ll be trusted with the development of our presence in WA and will be a key player in our success in that region. An achievable, attractive remuneration package will be on offer for this role.

What your day may include:

  • Sales
    • Take ownership of existing WA-based clients. 
    • Achieve individual budgeted sales targets utilising the sales guidelines developed for Sensei
    • Develop and execute sales plans, account plans, forecasts and business development strategies in conjunction with Sales Director
    • Canvass and develop new opportunities to meet / exceed individual sales targets
    • Own and facilitate the presales process
    • Engage Sensei’s Delivery and/or Product Development teams to ensure technical estimates are provided for proposals, RFQ responses etc
    • Follow the Sensei sales process and identify / contribute to improvements 
    • Build effective and profitable business relationships with clients.
    • Engage with the Microsoft Account teams and other appropriate partners, regarding existing and prospective clients over the lifetime of their engagement with Sensei.
  • Administration
    • Ensure CRM is up to date
    • Curate professional proposals in-line with Sensei’s branding and approval processes
  • Marketing
    • Contribute content as required
    • Actively promote the Sensei brand and its services
    • Assist in driving campaigns and marketing activities in line with marketing strategy
  • Other Areas:
    • Follow new developments in Microsoft and Sensei related software products to build knowledge
    • Demonstrate Company Values

Sound interesting? Here’s the key skills set you’ll need to qualify:

  • Strong understanding of the WA market – industries, major players, commercial considerations, local government knowledge, opportunities and price positioning. 
  • 5 years+ experience within a similar role within the Microsoft ecosystem e.g. from a partner, vendor or Microsoft themselves.
  • Superior communication skills
  • Be an excellent decision maker and comfortable working autonomously
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to translate client needs into requirements and document this for the client
  • Strong time management skills

The accountabilities as specified above may be altered in accordance with the changing requirements of the position. 

Highly Desirable – Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Tertiary Qualifications in a related field
  • Sales related courses or qualifications
  • Understanding of project management principles
  • Exposure to Microsoft applications including Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint, Project Online/Server, Office 365 or an ability to learn them.
